a good rule of thumb: start with your room, not the rug. measure the space and aim to leave around 12 to 18 inches of floor between the rug and the walls. in a dining room, give yourself about 24 inches beyond the table on every side so the chairs stay on the rug when you pull them out.

vacuum weekly on a low setting, taking care around the fringes. you may notice some loose fibers at first, which is a natural part of the finishing process and will lessen with regular vacuuming. blot spills with a dry cloth and use a wool-safe detergent for stains. avoid rubbing. for stubborn stains, we recommend professional cleaning.
